Sept 9, Mino to Betanzos
It was a pleasant walk today even with the backpack. Most of the way, in fact 100% of it was on asphalt. This is problem-some for the knees however one is less likely to trip on rocks and stones. The weather was overcast and cool which made for the best conditions.
I began the day like this:
I mean after that, what could go wrong?
The walk was solitary and wonderful. Here are some photos I took along the way:
And of course the ever present churches:

We arrived at our Albergue, dropped our bags and headed down to the plaza for lunch. We managed to find a place that served kabob food and enjoyed a sort of burrito with shaved beef, chicken along with lettuce and tomato. Yum.
After walking about town we headed back to the Albergue, stopping at another church where we received a somewhat private tour by the volunteer there, Jose Manual.
Now I’m in bed and ready to prepare myself for the most difficult section of this camino by getting some sleep. I will transport my backpack tomorrow and not feel guilty.
Until manan🙏❤️
